APPEAL FOR CELEBRATION OF FOUNDATION DAY

It was decided in the third National Executive Committee meeting on 12th July, 2008 at Hyderabad that the Foundation Day of the Federation should be celebrated in every zone.

All India Federation of Tax Practitioners is a large family of the Advocates and Chartered Accountants practising on the taxation side.

Our family is in the process of further growth. I want to convey the message to every member of our family to plan for celebration of Foundation Day on 11th November, 2008.

The North Zone of the Federation is contemplating to celebrate the Foundation Day at New Delhi and the Chairman of the North Zone Shri S.C. Bhatia is trying to finalize the programme with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, our former President of India to
deliver the lecture in the memory of Shri N.A. Palkhivala on the occasion of Foundation Day.

The Secretary General, Shri Mukul Gupta is trying to prepare a history of the Federation since its birth and I am also trying to collect the photographs of the important events, functions and achievements of the Federation.

It is an old saying that nobody can grow alone and we can grow in a group. For the larger family of the tax professionals fraternity it is always essential that we must promote our younger generation of the profession.

The vision of the members of the Federation should be to prepare ourselves to meet the challenges and avail the opportunity in the coming years.

Large opportunities are available before the tax practitioners but we can avail the opportunity only by following religiously ethics of the profession without being allured by any temptation, which may not be consistent to our well established norms.

I request every member of the Federation to start planning in their respective districts also for the celebration of the Foundation Day on 11th November, 2008 and convey the message of the Federation to every person.
