Dear Dr. Shivaram,

I am extremely happy for the editorial in the June issue of the Journal pleading to maintain dignity, integrity and sanctity of the ITAT.

I appreciate the letter of respected Shri S. E. Dastur, Sr. Advocate published on page 30 of the Journal.

I am personally thankful to you for congratulating me, on telephone, for adopting code of conduct formulated by the Federation during my Presidentship. Though it has taken over seven years, but we should continue to expose such persons who do not obey and violate the code of conduct.

The Income-tax Appellate Tribunal Co-ordination Committee functioned extremely well when Mr. Dastur was its Chairman. However, thereafter, it has been slow or defunct. We shall be serving the tax fraternity by reviving the ITAT Co-ordination Committee and make it functional with full swing.
